Extension cord

Extension cords are flexible cables that connect electrical devices to power outlets. They have a plug on one end and one or more sockets on the other end. The sockets are arranged parallelly in a power strip design. In a parallel circuit, the voltage between nodes remains constant across all branches, while the current may vary based on component resistance. Notably, disconnecting one branch does not affect the flow of electricity in other branches, allowing other appliances to operate normally.
