Cerebellum

The cerebellum is a major part of the brain located at the back of the skull, beneath the cerebrum. It plays a crucial role in coordinating voluntary movements, balance, posture, and motor learning. Despite its smaller size compared to the cerebrum, the cerebellum contains a significant number of neurons and is essential for smooth and coordinated movement. It receives input from various sensory systems and integrates this information to fine-tune motor commands sent from the brain to the muscles.
